pay.com.au redemption of PayRewards Points for Asia Miles Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the redemption by Eligible Customers (herein referred to as “you” or “your”) of PayRewards Points for Asia Miles.

The following capitalised terms used in these terms and conditions have the following meaning ascribed to it:

“AML“ means Asia Miles Limited.

“Asia Miles” means the mileage credits credited by AML to Cathay Members in the Cathay membership Programme.

“Eligible Customer” means a pay.com.au Member, who is also a Cathay Member.

“Cathay” means Cathay Pacific Airways Limited.

 “Cathay Membership Programme” means the loyalty and rewards programme operated by AML (as such programme may be renamed, rebranded, amended or replaced from time to time).

“Cathay Member” means a current member of the Cathay Membership Programme.

“pay.com.au” means Pay.com.au Limited, a limited liability company incorporated in Australia with ACN 639 316 546.

“pay.com.au Member” means a current member of the PayRewards.

“PayRewards” means the loyalty and rewards programme operated by pay.com.au (as such programme may be renamed, rebranded, amended or replaced from time to time).

“PayRewards Points” means the PayRewards Points credited by pay.com.au to pay.com.au Members.

Each Eligible Customer is entitled to earn 1 Asia Mile for every 3 PayRewards Points redeemed. The total Asia Miles awarded is calculated by applying the Asia Mile earn rate to the number of PayRewards Points by increments of 3. For example, redemption of 3,000 PayRewards Points would earn 1,000 Asia Miles. Any PayRewards Points balance less than 1250 cannot be redeemed for Asia Miles until the minimum points balance of 1250 has been reached. Fractions of Asia Miles will not be awarded.

Asia Miles will be awarded to the Eligible Customer’s Cathay Membership Programme account, which is linked to the relevant PayRewards account at the time of the relevant earn activity. Asia Miles will be credited to the Cathay Member’s account within 30 business days of completing the relevant earn activity, unless otherwise stated in connection with a specific campaign. Asia Miles are not exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

To earn Asia Miles, you must be a Cathay Member. Participation in the Cathay Membership Programme and use of Asia Miles, including any Cathay Member benefits and features, will be governed by Cathay Membership Programme Terms and Conditions. To the extent there is any inconsistency, these terms and conditions shall prevail. Cathay/AML collects and handles your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

The pay.com.au payment platform service is provided by pay.com.au. Cathay/AML is not responsible for any products and/or services provided by pay.com.au. The pay.com.au payment platform is subject to the pay.com.au Terms and Conditions (as applicable) and the PayRewards Program Terms and Conditions. pay.com.au collects and handles your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. pay.com.au is not responsible for the redemption of Asia Miles – please contact Cathay/AML regarding any queries relating to the redemption of Asia Miles.

If you link your Cathay Membership Programme account to your PayRewards account, pay.com.au may share some of your personal information with Cathay/AML. Cathay/AML and pay.com.au may use your personal information for purposes related to your linked accounts, including to: (a) confirm that you are a Cathay Member, (b) link your accounts, and (c) allow you to access details about your Cathay Membership Programme account, such as your ABN, from within your pay.com.au account.

Cathay and AML may at any time cancel or reverse Asia Miles credited or refuse to credit any Asia Miles to your Cathay Membership Programme if without limitation: (a) Asia Miles have been awarded to you due to any error; (b) you fail to comply with these terms and conditions and/or the Cathay Membership Programme terms and conditions; and/or (c) you commit any misconduct or fraud or otherwise act illegally, dishonestly, misleadingly, deceptively or fraudulently in connection with the Cathay Membership Programme, or PayRewards.

You can de-link or manage your linked accounts at any time through your profile in your PayRewards account settings.

All matters and disputes relating to these terms and conditions are subject to the final decision of Cathay/AML and pay.com.au.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.
