September 2022 Release Notes – Enhancing onboarding Biometrics

Welcome to the official release notes for pay.com.au. We hope you enjoy all the new features and improvements we’ve made. Here’s what we’ve been up to in the month of September.

Improvements 🔨

Biometric verification

ID verification through biometrics is now available to all new users.

The new flow enhances and simplifies the existing onboarding experience by enabling identity verification through a mobile-first experience.

Xero Integration

• Check for duplicate payees in Xero
• Added “Executing Bank Transaction” state for Xero

UI

• Text improvements in platform for more concise messaging for the status of verification, PayConcierge and Bank account payments.
• Modified PayLookup to have max width
• Password input on registration tells user of the new password requirement (minimum 10 characters, including at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 numeric characters)
• Remove phone number and email fields from Personal Details step of onboarding flow

Bug Fix

• Prevent duplicate emails being send when user’s verification status changes
• Users can now delete payment method that was used for a current paid subscription plan if they are in Free plan

Arriving soon 🧳

We are now turning our attention towards continuing the platform and user experience and setting our sights towards a new feature that will allow customers to set recurring payments for payees.
